The Monolithos bathroom collection is characterised by the combination of wood and marble, a perfect pairing that includes a variety of elements such as bathtubs, showers, countertops, pedestal sinks and towel rails.
Collection
Each piece in the collection is defined by simple geometric shapes with rounded profiles, complemented by a functional and decorative wooden accessory. The Monolithos marble collection represents a design study aimed at using as little marble as possible, while still achieving a marble bathtub that appears to have been milled from a single block. The bathtub, the heart of the collection, is made from three marble components and one wooden element.
Thanks to advanced technologies and procedures, the marble block is first sawn and then hollowed out to create the base, backrest and perimeter of the bathtub. These components are then milled and finished by hand to give them a soft look and feel. The internal hollowing out of the block produces parallelepipeds that would otherwise be turned into dust, but which are instead used to create other components of the collection. This project therefore represents a clear attempt to use marble in a more rational and responsible way, while maintaining the elegance and harmony of the design, perfect for completing the bathroom décor.
