Luce di Carrara was founded in the early 2000s, built on one of the core principles of Made in Italy: combining the uniqueness of natural stone with thoughtful design planning.
The History
The company wanted to find a new approach to enhance marble and make it versatile.
Luce di Carrara revolutionized the way materials were sourced, extracted, analyzed, processed, and packaged, in order to offer a wide standardized selection similar to that of the ceramic industry. This was made possible thanks to a unique production system. In the following years, the product range was expanded to include solutions for bathrooms, living areas, and lighting systems, encouraging architects and designers to consciously introduce and incorporate marble into their creations.
The turning point came in 2013, when the brand began collaborating with Henraux, benefiting both from its industrial and technological expertise and from its long-established relationships with architects, designers, and artists who have shaped marble in countless forms. Henraux, in turn, recognized the potential of this union, drawing on the company’s know-how. The joining of forces made the two affiliated companies leaders in the marble project industry, while continuing a path of innovation and growth.
Luce di Carrara is founded on the philosophy of “Living Marble,” which today means creating the most functional forms for our homes, combining tradition and contemporaneity. TERRITORY
In Tuscany, marble craftsmanship has been at the heart of artisans’ lives for centuries.
The great wealth of the region has created an inseparable bond between artists, master stoneworkers, artisans, and quarry workers. The dangers associated with extracting and working with a material as majestic and unpredictable as marble did not stop brilliant minds from creating artistic and architectural masterpieces that have made history. Today, Luce di Carrara is a leader in this type of project, also thanks to the contribution of its sister company, Henraux.
By working on large-scale projects and thanks to the expansion of 48,330 m² of production space, the companies aim to enhance the environment of the Querceta Industrial Area. Our Cervaiole quarry is located on the southernmost slopes of Monte Altissimo and offers breathtaking views. The sinuous lines of nature intersect with the clean, geometric lines created by the horizontal and vertical cuts of the stone, producing surreal images. The company’s legacy, built over nearly 200 years, originates here. This is the birthplace of our pride and glory: a unique area where people and machinery are engaged in extracting marble using traditional methods.
The relationship between Luce di Carrara and the surrounding area is one of mutual exchange: the mountains provide the raw material, the local population provides the workforce, and in return, our company is committed to ensuring the best working conditions and innovation.
